  • Algiark .

    It’s a weird power dynamic.

Traditionally men assume leadership over women, but in modern times, women are seen as more independent. Sometimes a situation like in this comic happens where the woman clings to the traditional values of following a man, while the man don’t want to be seen as old-fashioned and gives the woman a chance to lead.

The result is that no side is willing to take action because no one is willing to violate whatever they consider is the norm.

I think it’s simpler than that, even.

Women can’t make a fucking decision, even when it’s a goddamned easy one. “Just pick a restaurant name. It’s not the last time we’ll ever eat, FFS.” It’s so fucking irritating.

That famous agency they have, I tell you.

      • Algiark .

That’s because they’re afraid that if they make the wrong decision, you’ll like them less. Or they don’t want to be seen as being in charge even though you’ve given them the power to make decisions. Point is, either you take the initiative to make the decision for both of you every time, or get a girl who can say “no” clearly to your decisions.

        You don’t know that! 😉

Women easily make the decision– by themselves. When I’m home alone, I know exactly what I want and I go and get it. When I’m with my partner, however, I don’t want to eat something he hates. I’d rather eat where he wants, because that’s just how shit is. We might have “Wendy’s” on our mind, but won’t say it because “oh, he probably wants something healthier than that”.

A lot of women, contrary to what the media tells you, hate being leaders. We are SUPPORTERS. We thrive when we make OTHERS happy, be it our children, our family or our partners. When our loved ones are happy and healthy, so are we.

          Good take

I think it’s because they don’t want to be responsible for a bad outcome. If you ask their input in any decision and they give an answer, then they are responsible if things don’t go well. If they let you make the decision, they will have someone to blame later.

As a woman, I assure you it’s what Algiark says. If I “don’t know where I want to eat” it’s almost exclusively because I don’t want to dictate to others where THEY should eat. If I really feel the decision is up to me and no one will hate my choice, I have no trouble at all deciding what I’d like to eat and where to get it.

Ya’ll wanna do some actually generious shit like that but don’t realize WE ARE ASKING BECAUSE WE WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU WANT!

      • Erohiel

I personally do clarify and elaborate on things. But I can’t make other women do it.

        • Mr.Sixes

Okay, thank you, hope any relationship you’re in unless abusive is long and fruitful.

Imagine actually finding this something to complain about

  • Nope

Parts of being ‘the man’ is to make most decisions, but share the biggest ones with your family, wife especially.
